We had a very successful day today at Halton. We achieved 35 flights and 2 hours 27 minutes with 2 service students, 4 Berkhamsted cadet students and 1 UCL student. It was not thermic, so the longest flight was 10 minutes.

Luke did a stellar job with 3 of the Berkhamstead cadets, including 2 first solos! Many congratulations to Ollie Gentle and Charles Mcloughlin, both aged 15. Unfortunately, Luke went down with food poisoning and had to leave - we wish him a quick recovery.

Steve Clark also converted to the Astir CS (R77). He has also recently become an Introductory Flight Pilot at Bicester, flying with Motorglide.

The winch was expertly manned by Arthur Barfield, Ethan Low and Mark Durden, with Ellis Durden doing a great job organising the day.

Tony Heritage also helped with instructing UCL.

Fun was had by all, even with the flights being short, except possibly the worried parent of one of the Berkhamsted students flying their first solo! Great job everyone!

Finally, thanks to those who stayed late at the end to de-rig the Duo Discus (26) and the Astir CS (R77) for our annual expedition to Aboyne.
