The expedition at Aboyne managed their first flying day today. They had breakfast in Tarland and then headed to the airfield at midday to rig the Duo Discus (26).
They all managed to flight for about an hour in weak wave. Paul Field flew with Ben Manning first, followed by Paul and Dmitry Leyko, and finally Paul with Laurence Weeks, who managed to climb to 5,000 feet in front of Morven.
Some other gliders were also airborne, with one managing about 6,500 feet and another quite a bit higher.
