What a fantastic day and an awesome forecast from Deeside GC. Get up early they said, briefing 0730 and first launch 0800. Then a bit of rain and maybe some wave in the afternoon, and that's what the weather did.

So off Adrian went in 335 into a tiny gap near Ballater, followed by Greg R6, Humza HXU, Laurence 506 and then Luke and Dmitry in 26. Steady but unspectacular climbs followed, Greg to 21000', Humza 21000' Adrian 18000' Luke and Dmitry to17000 and Laurence to16000', out of that we had one Good Diamond Height from Greg, a Good Gold Height from Laurence and a very marginal Diamond from Humza. Later in the afternoon the rain passed and the wave set up again. This time Mark 506 and Dmitry HXU flew their first solo wave flights at Aboyne. Mark got to 10000 for a good silver height and Dmitry got to 13000 and just short of Gold Height because he took a high tow to contact.

Well done to all of the Badge Pilots if Humza's Diamond is confirmed that means we have 5 Diamonds, 6 Golds and a Silver Height with 3 days to go.
