We had a slow start today, with good conditions that started blue and developed into cumulus later in the day. We flew plenty of students, with tows provided for by Taff Williams. Al McNamara also flew SF for currency.

Humza in his Ventus 2cxT (TC) and Greg in the Discus 2cT (R6) raced around a 166km out and return task to Brinkworth. Greg (98.1kph) pipped Humza (97.8kph) - once adjusted for glider handicap, Greg flew 3.6kph faster, although Humza claimed his back hurt upon landing after having to carry Greg around the entire task. They both flew unballasted.

Paul Field and Mark Durden also completed the task in the Duo Discus (26). Mark is now signed off to use the turbo (and just one more trip to convert into the Discus 2cT).

Congratulations to Rob Saddler for his conversion to the Astir CS (R77).

Finally, we de-rigged SF and R49 at the end of the day for maintenance.

Thanks to the rest of the duty team (Laurence, Ben & Tony) who ensured everything ran smoothly.
