We had a great day of flying today supported by a great team of club members. We had an ‘unofficial’ longest day, with our first launch achieved at exactly 08:00 with Jon Davidson, a serviceman, taking the flight to symbolise our aim as an RAFGSA club. We flew as late as we could, with the last landing at 20:00.
In between, there was lots of training, lots of cross-country and also some motor glider activity. Jon Davidson flew his Slingsby Tutor (CPL) and also converted Phil MacKenzie and Dave Fothergill to it - congratulations to them on their conversions.
We wrapped up the evening with pizza in the bar. Thanks to all for a safe, fun day of flying.
