By comparison, yesterday was more productive but, it didn't live up to the promising forecast.

The start of flying today was delayed by the slow-clearing mist and low cloud, however, eventually, the sun appeared and we enjoyed a warm afternoon.

A good turnout of our junior pilots and thanks to the support of their parents and grandparents, Will, Amy, Luke and Cameron all had the pleasure of undertaking the full gamut of cross-wind takeoffs, stalling exercises, low circuits, flying without an altimeter and the inevitable awkward launch failure thrown in.

We also welcomed guests Tom Bunce (our Chairman’s, Neil Bunce, brother) and Erin Disbrey, Tony’s niece.

In the workshop, Taff and Mark cracked on with 26’s annual and David brought SF’s logbook up to date in prep for its maintenance next week.

Graham and Ellie tended to the needs of the bus and its fuel system and were called upon to do some minor reconstructive surgery on a cable drum at the end of the day.

A huge thank you to Josh who did a sterling job of running the front desk for the whole period and our stalwart winch drivers, Tony H, Tony D and David who got us in the air.

A total of 25 launches, a massive 2:22 hours, longest flight 12 min! Hog of the day was me with 12 launches and 17,639 steps up and down RWY02, closely followed by Greg with 7 launches. Good effort by everyone.
