We had a fantastic day at Halton today. There were only 16 launches, but everything serviceable was out of the hangar and soaring. Apart from one flight, which the pilot aborted, every flight was a soaring flight, with the home ridge working as well as I've ever seen it.

The longest flight was 1 hr 23 mins (not sure who the hog was) and the average flight time was 42 minutes. A couple of people tried to venture down the ridge line, but reported that it was not working further a field. It looks like we were in the sweet spot!

There were 3 new UCL students down today - all of whom went ridge soaring, and in the background work started for the ASK 18 annual, a health and safety review was done and the cable on one of the winch drums reversed at the end of the day.

A huge thanks to everyone for mucking in on a freezing cold, but very rewarding day!
