It turned out to be a nice day at Halton. There was a grey start, as predicted, but the airfield was set up and ready to go by 9.15 am, with the first launch being a weather check just after 10:00 am. We then had a bit of a pause for the cloud base to lift before it cleared into a nice, sunny afternoon.
Congratulations to Charlotte for her first solo and Gareth for his first solo aerotow.
There were 33 launches in total, with Humza getting hog of the day for doing 10 of them (including one of the few soaring flights). Many thanks to all the helpers.
At the end of the day, 40,000 guests turned up and tried to hitch an air experience ride in the motor glider. Luckily, a professional took control and corralled our guests safely to be rehomed.
