Talgarth Expedition 2024
We had a great mini 4 day expedition to the Black Mountains Gliding Club in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales.
In the 2.5 flying days we managed over 35 hours of flying across the 26 flights. Everyone had soaring flights, including David and Mark who flew solo at BMGC for the first time. Will had several flights with the local instructors.
We had a mixture of conditions from Easterly ridge and wave on Friday to really good conditions yesterday with the main North West ridge and thermals going really well. Saturday was a scrub so we went to watch Red Kites being fed. 300+ of these majestic birds certainly put on a display!
Today was a scrub so we came home early. All in all a great trip.
