Competitions Update - Saturday 5 to Sunday13 August 2023
On the competition front, our club members have had quite a busy fortnight.
Luke Hornsey competed in the Blue Class at the Dunstable Regionals with his ASW 20 (574) and came second.
Humza Hamid competed in the Red Class at the Dunstable Regionals with his Ventus 2cxT (TC) and also came second. This was Humza’s first competition, so an amazing result!
Martyn Pike competed in the Inter Services with the Duo Discus (26), with Mark Durden as his P2 to gain some cross country experience, and came third. Mick Boydon (in his Nimbus 2c (69)) and Al McNamara (in his ASG 32 Mi (VZ)) also competed in the same class, coming seventh and eighth, respectively.
Jon Davidson competed a different class in the Inter Services with a Discus (27) and took the biggest trophy for the highest placed serviceman - congratulations!
Back home, Arthur Barfield was sent solo on the Rotax Falke - big well done!
